Seattle! (part one)

Despite my best intentions, a year has passed since I last posted. The truth is that I don’t shoot as much as I once did, but I’m trying to get back into the habit because it really does bring me immense joy. Living in a rural area has its perks (peace and quiet! landscapes! birds! sunsets!), but it’s the city that feeds my creative spirit.

I visited the great city of Seattle for the first time in April, and it did not disappoint. I explored every neighborhood and met so many interesting people. It was very inspiring.

Here’s the first set of photos, some of which I posted to the final gallery (places > seattle), some of which I haven’t posted at all. I’ll follow up with a few more posts since there are too many photos for just one (or two) posts.

All photos shot with a Fuji XPro2 with a 35mm f/1.4 lens.

Inside the Columbia Center, the tallest building in Seattle!

Enjoying a drink at the bar at Maximilien, a lovely French restaurant inside of Pike Place Market. Pike Place is in my top three favorite markets I’ve ever visited.

So many gorgeous flower stands inside of Pike Place

I enjoyed one of these each of the four times I visited the market. One of the most delicious things I’ve ever eaten.

This lovely man whose name escapes me worked at the fish market that sold the scallops. The smoked salmon that he was offering samples of was also insanely delicious.
